The Artist Behind The Lens

Proteek Mandal is a Calcutta-born visual artist, photographer, scenographer, musician, and historian. His journey into the world of visuals began in the fast-paced environment of broadcast media, where he worked as a Film Editor and Programme Director. This early experience in storytelling and content production laid the foundation for his eventual transition into photography—a medium he embraced for its freedom and expressive power.

Seeking to refine his craft and gain a global perspective, Proteek studied at the prestigious IED Istituto Europeo di Design in Madrid, Spain. This international exposure profoundly shaped his artistic sensibilities and gave him the tools to paint with his camera. His work, which has taken him to cities like Madrid, Valencia, London, and Paris, is a testament to his unique vision.
